Please refer to the attachments for full details on the upcoming NSW Police Legacy supervised training walks on 15th January 2023, Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th March 2023.
The first walk is a great opportunity for you to meet with some past Kokoda trekkers who have successfully completed the track and gain some extra inside information. Past trekkers from NSW Police ANZAC groups are also invited to join us on all training walks as this is a great opportunity for them to share their Kokoda experiences with you as well as continuing to enjoy bush walking closer to home.
It is imperative that you attend at least one session, as it gives you a great opportunity to get first-hand knowledge and information about the Kokoda Track and its challenges. It is also a great opportunity to meet the rest of your fellow group members and to also makes sure any equipment you have purchased is a correct fitting etc. The Blue Mountains walk scheduled for March is a testing session and am happy to say that anyone that has completed this challenge with us has succeeded in finishing the Kokoda Track. It is very similar to some of the days on the Kokoda Track itself so, they become very important training days for you.
I’m really look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at all the training sessions and will be available to answer any trekking questions you may have then.
